Delfin S-61 makes more History

Puntúa la entrada

On June 5 and 6, the Submarine Delfin S-61 partook in a unique assignment by contacting all of the world’s other floating museums, totalling upwards of 3,000 in more than 100 countries around the globe through the world of HAM Radio. The Union of Amateur Radio of Spain came up with this idea having calculated that during this two-day weekend they could contact all other floating museums through telegraphy, telephony and Digital Systems, including the internet.

This unique event was published through the Internet and in magazines. All museums in contact [Img #2178]with the Delfin S-61 will receive a confirmation card, carrying on one side the contact information and the other a photograph of the S-61 Submarine Museum. The unique ID for the S-61 is AO5SUB and it’s hoped that this might also put the submarine into the Guinness Book of Records for this unique attempt.
